Meet Our Founders

Kim Antoniou

Kim has a vast amount of technology experience and specialised in developing major online and mobile software solutions for the construction industry. In early 2014, after hearing about new food-labelling laws, Kim realised that her expertise could be used by the catering industry. Kim decided to create a simple system designed to help food and drink businesses manage their menus and food compliance.
Kim has personal experience of the perils of having a food allergy. Her husband of 30 years, Ron, is a severe-allergy sufferer. In 2013 he nearly died from an attack in a restaurant after he was given incorrect information by waiting staff regarding a dish's ingredients. This extremely worrying incident gave her an extra incentive to improve the situation for both caterers and diners.

Food Fact: Kim doesn't eat red meat, due to the texture.

Tarryn Gorre

Tarryn is an experienced hospitality professional who spent many years working in senior management within companies such as D and D London, Tom Aikens Group Limited and Caesars Entertainment. Having been passionate about hospitality from a young age, Tarryn has been involved in a variety of businesses big and small, from pub groups to hotels. This passion has culminated in driving Kafoodle to be a leader in the field of hospitality food management and also to expand into the social care sector with the view to further personalise nutrition. Tarryn has recently been shortlisted in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2016 and the Catherine Variety Awards, and is considered a rising star in the Food Tech Industry.

Food Fact: Tarryn has an intense dislike of raisins and cooked fruit, yet she aspires to one day eat an apple crumble!

I thought it would be absolutely amazing to build a really simple to use system that enables kitchens to manage their ingredients, their recipes, their menus - including all the allergy information.
